Pearl Jam Bassist Jeff Ament Assaulted and Robbed

Jeff Ament, the bassist of Pearl Jam, was assaulted and robbed outside of Southern Tracks Recording studio in Atlanta, GA. The band is currently recording their new album there.

According to police reports, Ament and a band employee were attacked on April 27 by three assailants wearing masks and wielding knifes. They smashed the windows on his Jeep and demanded money. When Ament tried to run, he was knocked to the ground. The robbers got away with $3,000 in cash, Ament's passport, and over $4,000 worth of goods. No arrests have been made and Ament did not require hospitalization.
